The doctor noted that Richie had his growth spurt during the previous 3 months, but at this point his growth rate has slowed. He joked, "Well at least the rest of his body is catching up with his head."

Richie was supposed to get several immunizations, but since he had a cold, I was told to wait until he was better.

I was asked how many words he says, and even though I had anticipated the question, I could only think of 5, maybe 7 words. Dr. Burry said that wasn't uncommon for a boy and a second child at that. But later, when I really thought about it, I realized he probably says 13 words (although people outside of mommy and daddy might not understand): mama, dada, bye, ball, Aya (Ariana), down, wa wa (water), up, what, hmm, uh un, boo.
